I stumbled upon this Twitter account and thought you’d like to see God’s Good Creation “across the pond.”
Wending my way home after a long day, with the sun setting over the Peak District hills and the smell of woodsmoke and autumn in the air. The only sounds were the sheep and my own footsteps, heavy with a quiet tiredness, knowing I'd earned a fire, a good book and a lot of cheese. pic.twitter.com/GX3o7tRt3Y
This is the Peak District village of Tissington, looking like a page from an old-fashioned story book. I love the smoking chimney, the jumble of rooflines, and the sheep in that little field squeezed between the cottages. Somehow the wet road and dark sky just suited the mood. pic.twitter.com/EJxSUPXwft
There’s no magic like walking in Padley Gorge on a misty morning. The twisted branches of those ancient oaks reach out like hundreds of arms clamouring for attention as you pass, the dewy ferns drip gently at your feet, and even the birds are silent in awe at how beautiful it is. pic.twitter.com/wv2Fzf0yQp
