Sunrise At Delicate Arch – I
In the middle of the summer at mid-day? Forget about it. Too long & steep if you’re not in good shape. But I went in March. And started up the trail at 5:15 am.
People come from all over the world to visit Arches National Park, and visiting Delicate Arch is on the top of many visitors’ to-do lists. In a park with over 2,000 stone arches, this particular free-standing arch has become a widely recognized symbol of the state of Utah and one of the most famous geologic features in the world.

Late afternoon is the best time to enjoy The Fiery Furnace. I shot these pics around mid-day. The vertical rock walls in the video are called ‘fins.’ I’m sure you’ll see why.
